Gregory R. Emery

Gregory Richard Emery, age 60, of Saginaw, passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at Covenant Health Care – Harrison in Saginaw surrounded by loving family and friends. He was born on August 9, 1949 in Caro to Richard and Dolores (Wisniewski) Emery.

The family moved to Kenosha, Wisconsin where Gregory graduated from Tremper High School in 1967, and then attended the University of Wisconsin. He then moved to Florida where he worked for the Florida Sheriff’s Association managing one of their camps for wayward boys for several years. He then moved on to retail management with Eckerd Drug Stores. Gregory moved back to Michigan in 1993 to be closer to family where he worked for CVS Drug Stores and J.C. Penney. Gregory was a gourmet cook and lived on his computer; and was an expert with both hobbies.

He is survived by his parents, Richard and Dolores Emery of Caro; two brothers and one sister, Terry (Maria) Emery of Frankenmuth, Randy Emery of Lakeland, Florida, and Lisa (Todd) Nusz of Caro; four nieces, Falon, Holly, Chelsea and Alicia; one nephew, Brad; and three grand-nieces, Aubrey, Paige and Electra.

Cremation has taken place.

A memorial service will be held at the Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Chris Taylor officiating.

Visitation will be held at the Collon Funeral Home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.
