Roger W. Enos

Roger William Enos, age 63, of Caro passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at Covenant Cooper in Saginaw. He was born on July 28, 1946 in Caro to the late Vernard “Red” and Loretta (Robinson) Enos.

With the exception of his service in the U.S. Army, Roger had been a lifelong resident of Caro. He graduated from Caro High School in 1965, and on March 22, 1969 he married the former Carol Sattelberg at the Columbia Corners Lutheran Church. During his working career, he was an over the road semi driver, and until his retirement, he had been employed by Fairgrove Oil Company. Roger enjoyed horses and for approximately fourteen years he was a member of the Tuscola County Sheriff’s Posse. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Caro, the Caro Moose Lodge since 1979 and Caro V.F.W. Post #4164. He also enjoyed deer hunting.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; his children, Brian (Tammy) Enos of Caro and Amy (Tony) Diegel of Howell; five grandchildren; his siblings, Lee Ann Trisch of Caro, Michael (Constance) Enos of Bay City, Evonne Scott of Caro and Dennis (Roberta) Enos of Imlay City; three aunts, Onalea Sharp, Louise Robinson and BonnieJean Perry; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Kay Enos; and the remainder of his aunts and uncles.

The funeral service will be held at the Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Monday, November 23, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Cameron Steele, St. Paul Lutheran Church, officiating.

In accordance with Roger’s wishes, cremation will follow the funeral service.

Visitation will be held at the Collon Funeral Home on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.

Memorials may be made to American Lung Association of Michigan.
